REQUEST A VISIT

As we get older, performing some activities of daily living may become increasingly difficulty or challenging. As our mobility reduces so does our ability to perform tasks safely.

If this is you or your loved one, then, Reaching Out Hands is reaching out to you to support you with your day-to-day activities ensuring that your needs are met fully and you are supported to live independently in your home.

Our bespoke personal care packages will support you with getting up and going to bed. Assist you with washing, bathing, showering and dressing. Including all transfers as per occupational therapist recommendation if you have one. We will also support you with continence care including medication and fluid and nutritional intake.

Medication Assistance

Medication is an important part of our lives but at times due to memory issues, confusion and old age, we may forget or take the wrong medication, and this could compromise our health.

ROH’s personal care carers will support and prompt you to take your medication as prescribed. We recommend that all medication be blister packed.

Bathing/Showering

ROH personal carers will fully support you with a full body wash, bathing/showing as per your choice. Remember, you are in control of your care, thus you choose what you want and when you want it. We will support you to get in and out of the bath safely if required. We will use all available OT supplied equipment effectively to ensure your safety.

Dressing

Should you need help getting dressed/undressed, you can be rest assured that our carer will complete this task with passion ensuring that your dignity is maintained at all times.

Continence

We will support you to use the toilet using all equipment provided by the occupational therapist. We will change incontinence pads and empty catheter bags and commode. Our carers will clear and disinfect commode and urine bottles to maintain safe hygiene standards.

Meal times

As part of our personal care package, our carers will support you with all your meals from breakfast to snacks or light meal at bed time. Where there are no family members to do your shopping, you can count on us to do your shopping according to your taste and supporting you to have a balanced diet.

Bed Call

At ROH our carer will tuck you into bed at night ensuring that you are comfortable. We will then close doors and ensure your home is secured before leaving. Key safe is required for this service.
